Mari Ganesh Kumar is an accomplished researcher and applied scientist with a Ph.D. and M.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His thesis focused on applied machine learning and signal processing to bio-signals, and he has published multiple papers in the domain of Speech, EEG, and Neuronal signals. Currently, he is working as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, making Alexa experience better for customers worldwide.

Before joining IIT Madras, Mari worked as a backend developer at Zoho Corporation. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Anna University, where he was awarded the best outgoing student medal.
